B-type pulsators in the open cluster NGC 884 (χ Persei) Krzesinski J., Pigulski A. <Astron. Astrophys. 325, 987 (1997)> =1997A&A...325..987K 1997A&A...325..987K (SIMBAD/NED BibCode)
ADC_Keywords: Stars, Be ; Photometry, UBV ; Clusters, open Keywords: stars: oscillations - stars: Be - stars: variables: β Cephei - open clusters and associations: individual: NGC 884 = (χ Per) Description: We present the results of the photometric CCD search for B-type pulsators in the central region of Chi Persei (NGC 884) open cluster. In addition to the two newly-discovered Beta Cephei stars we found 11 other variables in the observed field. The photometric data for them are given in the file 'bmag' and 'vmag' for B and V-filter data, respectively. In addition, we present the new UBV magnitudes for stars in the observed field. This is Table 4 of the paper, available only in electronic form. Note (2): For variable stars we use the following rules in listing their UBV magnitudes: for periodic variables (Oo 2246, 2299, 2371) we list the mean magnitudes, while for the eclipsing binaries (Oo 2301 and 2311) the magnitudes at the phase of maximum light are given. For the remaining 6 variables we give the UBV magnitudes at one, arbitrarily chosen epoch, HJD 2450163.338, i.e., the middle of the night March 19/20, 1996. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Acknowledgements: Andrzej Pigulski, References: Oosterhoff P.T, Ann.
