Based on the data from 26 archival Chandra observations we study the source content and properties of various subpopulations of X-ray sources to a maximum distance of 12' from the centre of M 31. Description: The analysis in this paper is based on 26 Chandra ACIS observations, with aimpoints within 10' from M31 centre (00:42:44.31+41:16:09.4).
