Abstract:
Ellipticities have been determined for only a few tens of open
clusters. We derive the observed and modelled shape parameters
(apparent ellipticity and orientation of the ellipse) of 650
Galactic open clusters identified in the ASCC-2.5 catalogue
(Kharchenko, 2001, Cat. I/280).
Description:
The table presents shape parameters (ellipticity and ellipse
orientation angle) of 650 Galactic open clusters. The parameters are
derived from distributions of the most probable cluster members. The
clusters are a sample of the Catalogue of Open Cluster Data and their
members are selected from the high-precision, homogeneous all-sky
catalogue ASCC-2.5 (Kharchenko, 2001, Cat. I/280). The clusters in
the table are sorted according to their order in the COCD.
