Galaxies in the infall region or in the core of a cluster undergo transformations owing to different environmental stresses. For two X-ray luminous clusters at redshift z∼0.3 with opposite X-ray morphologies (i.e., dynamical states), RXCJ0014.3-3022 and RXCJ2308.3-0211, we assess differences in galaxy populations as a function of cluster topography. This is a pilot study for the joint X-ray and optical analysis of the REFLEX-DXL cluster sample. Description: The tables present photometric and spectroscopic data for several hundreds of galaxies observed in the directions of the galaxy clusters RXCJ0014.3-3022 (Abell 2744) and RXCJ2308.3-0211 (Abell 2537). For each galaxy, equatorial coordinates, redshift, equivalent width measurements and errors for the spectral features [OII], 4000Å break and Hdelta, total magnitudes and errors in the BVR bands are given. The data were acquired with VLT-VIMOS with LR-Blue grism (spectroscopy) and with B, V and R filters (photometry).
