Abstract:
We study the photometric and structural properties of the star cluster
system in the late type Sc spiral NGC 3370.
BVI observations from the Advanced Camera for Surveys on board of HST
are used to analyse in detail the colours, magnitudes and spatial
properties of cluster candidates. The final catalogue of sources used
for the study is composed by 277 objects.

Note (1): Data have been dereddened using Schlegel et al. extinction maps
(1998ApJ...500..525S 1998ApJ...500..525S) and aperture corrected as described in Sect. (2)
of the manuscript.
Note (2): The visual classification code is used for further selections of
Star Cluster candidates, besides the colour, magnitude, effective
radius, and location within the galaxy. The visual class code that we
used is a number composed by two digits, the first associated to the
goodness of ishape residuals, the second to the level of crowding. For
both digits the range adopted is 1-3.
See Figure 4 of the manuscript for some examples of sources with
different visual classification. A default visual class=100 is adopted
for diffuse objects (likely background galaxies) showing very large
residuals in the ishape subtracted frame.
First digit as follows:
11 = good ishape residual, no crowding
12 = good ishape residual, crowding than three sources within
20 pixels from the SC candidate
21 = satisfactory, no crowding
22 = satisfactory, crowding than three sources within 20 pixels
from the SC candidate
31 = large residuals, no crowding
32 = large residuals, crowding than three sources within 20 pixels
from the SC candidate
