Abstract:
We present extensive and accurate photometry in the near-infrared
H band (about 1.62µm) of a complete sample of objects in an area of
about 400arcmin2 toward the Coma cluster of galaxies. The sample,
including about 300 objects, is complete down to H∼17mag, the exact
value depending on the type of magnitude (isophotal, aperture, Kron)
and the particular region studied. This is six magnitudes below the
characteristic magnitude of galaxies, well into the dwarfs' regime at
the distance of the Coma cluster. For each object (star or galaxy) we
provide aperture magnitudes computed within five different apertures,
the magnitude within the 22mag/arcsec2 isophote, the Kron magnitude
and radius, magnitude errors, as well as the coordinates, the
isophotal area, and a stellarity index. Photometric errors are 0.2mag
at the completness limit. This sample is meant to be the zero-redshift
reference for evolutionary studies of galaxies.

Note on table3.dat, table4.dat, table5.dat: The studied region is
∼20x24arcmin wide, located ∼15arcmin North-East from the Coma cluster center.
The approximate center of the region is 13 00 35 +28 14 35 (J2000). The final
exposures are the regions Patch 1 (0403,0903,0304), 0404 and 0504.

Note (1): Errors computed by Sextractor. Listed errors do not include
photometric zero-point errors (see Sect. 3.7), those arising from the
compositing, and implicitly assume a gaussian or poissonian error
distribution.
Note (2): "99.99" means that no measure is available (usually because the
object is too small or too faint for its flux to be measured through a
large aperture).
Note (3): Kron magnitudes are computed by integrating the flux in an area
2.5 times larger than the Kron area, with a minimum aperture radius of
1.8 arcsec.
Note (4): When Index ≲0.3, objects are identified as galaxies, whereas
Index ≳0.7 (for 0404 and 0504) and Index ≳0.8 (for patch1)
correspond to stars. The difference between fields is due to seeing
conditions.
