New Wolf-Rayet stars in galactic open clusters: Sher 1 and the giant HII region core Westerlund 2. Moffat A.F.J., Shara M.M., Potter M. <Astron. J., 102, 642-653 (1991)> =1991AJ....102..642M 1991AJ....102..642M
ADC_Keywords: Photometry, UBV ; Clusters, open Abstract: Two new Galactic Wolf-Rayet stars were found in open clusters: a WN4 star in the O9 cluster Sher 1 and a WN7 star in the O7 cluster Westerlund 2. This confirms a previous trend, namely that fainter, hotter WN stars tend to be older than brighter, cooler WN stars. This may be a consequence of evolution via extreme mass loss. Description: The table "west2.dat" contains the results of the paper for the cluster Westerlund 2, which was observed in 1989 April at the South African Astronomical Observatory (SAAO), and in 1989 June at CTIO for the UBV CCD photometry. The (x,y) positions of the studied stars are from WEBDA (http://www.univie.ac.at/webda/), and the position computed at CDS using the UCAC4 (Cat. I/322) as a reference catalog.
