Abstract:
Spectroscopy of 222 late-type dwarfs in the Praesepe open cluster is
used to measure the strengths of molecular and atomic features and to
examine their sensitivity to chromospheric activity as measured by the
strength of Hα emission.
Description:
Our spectra were acquired using the multiobject spectrograph (MOS)
Hydra and the T2KC CCD camera on the WIYN3 3.5m telescope on four
nights in 2003 (March 7-10 UT) and seven nights in 2004 (January 7-10,
February 2, and May 9-10). The weather during both the 2003 and 2004
observing runs was partly cloudy, with variable seeing.
