Abstract:
We report on photometric observations of the CoRoT LRc2 field with the
new robotic Berlin Exoplanet Search Telescope II (BEST II). The
telescope system was installed and commissioned at the Observatorio
Cerro Armazones, Chile, in 2007. BEST II is a small aperture telescope
with a wide field of view dedicated to the characterization of the
stellar variability primarily in CoRoT target fields with high stellar
densities. The CoRoT stellar field LRc2 was observed with BEST II
up to 20 nights in 2007 July and August. From the acquired data
containing about 100,000 stars, 426 new periodic variable stars were
identified and 90% of them are located within the CoRoT exoplanetary
CCD segments and may be of further interest for CoRoT additional
science programs.

Note (1): lrca1a-NNNN, lrca2-NNNN and lrcax-NNNN in table1,
lrcbx-NNNN and lrcby-NNNN in table2.
Note (2): Stars marked with c may be affected by crowding and thus the
variability information can be influenced by the nearby neighbor.
Note (3): Magnitudes correspond to a wide R filter (650-800nm),
calibrated against the USNO-A2 catalog (I/252) only.
Note (4): Variable class as follows:
EW = Eclipsing binary of W Ursae Majoris type
RR Lyr = Pulsating star of RR Lyrae type
RR Lyr(c) = Pulsating star of RR Lyrae(c) type
SXPHE = Pulsating star of SX Phenicis type
DSCT = Pulsating star of δ Scuti type
SP = Spotted star
EB = Eclipsing binary of β Lyrae type
EA = Eclipsing binary of Algol type
PULS = Pulsating star
ELL = Elliptic star
DCEP = Pulsating star of δ Cephei type
α2CVn = Star of α2 Canes Venaticorum type
γDOR = Star of γ Doradus type
