ADC_Keywords: Galaxy catalogs ; Surveys ; Redshifts Keywords: cosmology: observations - galaxies: distances and redshifts - galaxies: luminosity function, mass function - surveys Abstract: A redshift survey has been carried out in the region of the Hubble Deep Field North using the Low Resolution Imaging Spectrograph (LRIS) at the Keck Observatory. The resulting redshift catalog, which contains 671 entries, is a compendium of our own data together with published LRIS/Keck data. In our previous work, for spectra showing only a single emission line, the assumption was always made that this line is the [O II] line at 3727Å. However, in these particular cases, the objects are so faint that we have instead assumed that the emission line is Lyα. Note (2): Spectral type (from Cohen et al., 1999ApJS..120..171C 1999ApJS..120..171C): E: galaxies have spectra dominated by emission lines A: galaxies have spectra dominated by absorption lines I: galaxies are of intermediate type Q: galaxies with broad emission lines B: Starburst galaxies showing the higher Balmer lines (Hγ, Hδ, etc.) in emission X: galaxies for which spectra were not available M: stars with presence of TiO bands (and/or CaH bands, for M subdwarfs) S: stars with absence of TiO bands (and/or CaH bands, for M subdwarfs) Note (3): Source: Previously published: c96: Cohen et al., 1996, Cat.
