Abstract:
We investigate the galaxy populations in seven X-ray-selected,
intermediate-redshift groups (0.2<z<0.6). Overall, the galaxy
populations in these systems are similar to those in clusters at the
same redshift; they have large fractions of early-type galaxies
(fe∼70%) and small fractions of galaxies with significant star
formation (f∼30%).
Description:
We observed five groups (RX J1205.9+4429, RX J1256.0+2556,
RX J1334.0+3750, RX J1347.9+0752, RX J1648.7+6019) with GMOS on
Gemini-North during 2005 May 11-13, while two groups, RX J0329.0+0256
and RX J0720.8+7109, were observed with LRIS on Keck I during 2004
December 5-6.

Note (1): Galaxies identified as [JML2007] JHHMMSS.ss+DDMMSS.s in Simbad.
Note (2): Telescope code as follows:
G = Gemini
K = Keck
P = Palomar
Note (3): As our groundbased data does not have high enough spatial
resolution to separate out the three components, this magnitude
is the total for all three components when the flag is set to 1.
Note (4): Taken from the HST imaging where available and the Gemini imaging
otherwise.
