ADC_Keywords: Molecular clouds ; Stars, pre-main sequence ; Photometry, infrared Keywords: circumstellar matter - infrared: stars - planetary systems: protoplanetary disks - stars: formation - stars: low-mass, brown dwarfs - stars: pre-main sequence Abstract: We discuss the results from the combined IRAC and MIPS c2d Spitzer Legacy survey observations and complementary optical and NIR data of the Chamaeleon II (Cha II) dark cloud. We perform a census of the young population in an area of ∼1.75deg2 and study the spatial distribution and properties of the cloud members and candidate pre-main-sequence (PMS) objects and their circumstellar matter. Our census is complete down to the substellar regime (M∼0.03M_☉). Description: The observations, data reduction, source statistics, and the results from the IRAC observations are reported in Porras et al. (2007ApJ...656..493P 2007ApJ...656..493P). (2007, Final Delivery of Data from the c2d Legacy Project: IRAC and MIPS (Pasadena: SSC)). We note that, because of reprocessing during the source extraction for new catalog releases, some of these names may be slightly different than those reported in Young et al. (2005ApJ...628..283Y 2005ApJ...628..283Y) for the same sources. Note (2): Most coordinates are from optical images, where the multiple objects are better resolved. Note (3): Selection flag as follows: PMS = pre-main-sequence object CND = candidate pre-main-sequence object YSO = object with IRAC/MIPS 24um colors that passed the Harvey et al. (2007, Cat. J/ApJ/663/1149) criteria IRAS 12496-7650 is definitely a YSO, but not selected by the Harvey et al. (2007, Cat. J/ApJ/663/1149) criteria because it is saturated in IRAC 3.6um and IRAC 4.5um. Note (4): 'c' means that the object would have met the c2d selection criteria if IRAC observations had been available. Note (5): Position flag as follows: In = object inside the IRAC 3.6-8um/MIPS 24um overlapping area Off = object off the IRAC 3.6-8um/MIPS 24um overlapping area -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Byte-by-byte Description of file: table2.dat -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bytes Format Units Label Explanations -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1- 2 I2 --- [ASC2008] Sequential number 4- 26 A23 -- Name Name 28- 32 F5.3 mJy FU ?
