This star was observed as part of the University of Texas long-term project Chemical Abundances of Stars in the Halo (CASH). A spectrum was obtained with the High Resolution Spectrograph (HRS) on the Hobby-Eberly Telescope with a resolving power of R∼15000. Our analysis reveals that this star may be located on the red giant branch, red horizontal branch, or early asymptotic giant branch. We find that this metal-poor ([Fe/H]=-2.2) star has an unusually high lithium abundance [logε(Li)=+2.1], mild carbon ([C/Fe]=+0.7) and sodium ([Na/Fe]=+0.6) enhancement, as well as enhancement of both s-process ([Ba/Fe]=+0.8) and r-process ([Eu/Fe]=+0.5) material. Description: The HK-II survey (Rhee, 2001PASP..113.1569R 2001PASP..113.1569R) originated as an extension of the original HK objective-prism survey of Beers et al. (1985, Cat. J/AJ/90/2089; 1992, Cat. J/AJ/103/1987). The star HKII 17435-00532 was observed on 2007 February 9 and 28 with the High Resolution Spectrograph at the HET at McDonald Observatory. The spectral coverage is 4120-7850Å, with a small break from 5930 to 6030Å resulting from the gap between the blue and red CCDs of the HRS. One 10 minute exposure was taken on each night.
