Description: A summary of 243 starbursts with IRS spectra and determinations of SFR(PAH) is given by Weedman & Houck (2008, Cat J/ApJ/686/127). To increase substantially the sample of Spitzer starbursts, we have extracted new IRS spectra from the archival data of two Spitzer Legacy Programs (30742; PI: D. Schiminovich and 40539; PI: G. Helou). Infrared flux densities are compared with the GALEX observed flux densities in the ultraviolet at wavelengths 153nm (FUV) and 227nm (NUV) (GALEX data used in this paper were those available in 2009 February at the MultiMission Archive at the Space Telescope Science Institute (http://archive.stsci.edu/)) and with radio detections from the FIRST survey (White et al. 1997, Cat. VIII/71) and from targeted observations with the VLA (Condon et al. 2003, Cat. J/AJ/125/2411). Note (2): Flags as follows: h = SST24 name derives from discovery at 24um with Spitzer Space Telescope surveys; source taken from summary in Weedman and Houck (2008, Cat J/ApJ/686/127) where original discovery references are given. i = Source taken from Spitzer Legacy program 30742 (D. Schiminovich, P.I.) for sources within the SWIRE Lockman Hole Field that also have measured fluxes from GALEX. j = Source taken from Spitzer Legacy program 40539 (G. Helou, P.I.), a flux limited sample from various Spitzer survey fields of sources with fν(24um) greater than 5mJy. k = Blue Compact Dwarf from Wu et al. (2006ApJ...639..157W 2006ApJ...639..157W). Note (3): No entry means that the source was not included in any GALEX observation. Note (4): Fit with single gaussian on a linear continuum within rest wavelength range 5.5um to 6.9um. Note (5): Interpolated with a power law between flux densities in the GALEX catalog measured with the FUV filter (134-179nm) and the NUV filter (177-283nm). Note (6): Observed with the VLA, usually within the FIRST survey, corrected from observed frame to rest frame 1.4GHz by assuming a power law spectrum of index α=-0.7. Note (7): Star Formation rates computed as: * log[SFR(PAH)]=log[νLν(7.7um)]-42.57 for νLν(7.7um) the luminosity at the peak of the 7.7um feature in ergs/s (10-7W) and SFR in M/yr; * log[SFR(UV)]=log[νLν(FUV)]-43.26 for νLν(FUV) in ergs/s (10-7W) and SFR in M/yr; * log[SFR(radio)]=log[νLν(1.4GHz)]-37.07 for νLν(1.4GHz) in ergs/s (10-7W) and SFR in M/yr (log[νLν(L)]=log[νLν(ergs/s)]-33.59). * Luminosity calculations use luminosity distances from E.L. Wright, http://www.astro.ucla.edu/~wright/CosmoCalc.html, for H0=71km/s/Mpc, ΩM=0.27 and ΩΛ=0.73. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- History: From electronic version of the journal
