Abstract:
We have determined 194 Faraday rotation measures (RMs) of polarized
extragalactic radio sources using new, multi-channel polarization
observations at frequencies around 1.4GHz from the Very Large Array in
the Galactic plane at 17°≤l≤63° and 205°≤l≤253°.
This catalog fills in gaps in the RM coverage of the Galactic plane
between the Canadian Galactic Plane Survey (CGPS; Taylor et al. 2003,
Cat. VI/128; Brown et al. 2003, Cat. J/ApJS/145/213) and Southern
Galactic Plane Survey (SGPS; Haverkorn et al. 2006ApJS..167..230H 2006ApJS..167..230H;
Brown et al. 2007, Cat. J/ApJ/663/258).
Description:
In June and July of 2008, we carried out 48 hr of observing with the
VLA under the program AM959 to fill in the gaps in EGS RMs between the
CGPS and SGPS.
The sources observed were selected from the NRAO-VLA Sky Survey (NVSS;
Condon et al. 1998, Cat. VIII/65).

Note (1): Both Stokes I and PI are determined as the average over all 14
channels for the same pixel, being that with the highest PI.
Note (2): RM calculations are done using the angle fitting algorithm
described in the text.
Note (3): Missing values do not have a corresponding source within 1'.
