The [CII] luminosities, L[CII], of the LIRGs in GOALS range from ∼107 to 2x109L. Description: We have obtained FIR spectroscopic observations for 153 LIRG systems of the GOALS sample (Armus et al. 2009PASP..121..559A 2009PASP..121..559A) using the Integral Field Spectrometer (IFS) of the PACS instrument on board Herschel. The data were collected as part of an OT1 program (OT1larmus1; P.I.: L. Armus) awarded with more than 165hr of observing time. Our observations were complemented with the inclusion of the remaining LIRGs in the GOALS sample for which [CII] observations are publicly available in the archive (as of 2012 October) from various Herschel projects. As part of the Spitzer GOALS legacy, all galaxies observed with Herschel/PACS have available Spitzer/IRS low resolution (R∼60-120) slit spectroscopy (SL module: 5.5-14.5um, and LL module: 14-38um).
