Abstract:
Observational data on 132 faint (R magnitude = 9-17) red stars with
carbon-star or late M-type spectra are presented in tables and briefly
characterized. The data were collected in a survey of a 1000-sq deg
region at high northern Galactic latitude (right ascension 8h15 to
17h30 and declination +29 to +38 deg) on low-dispersion 330-535-nm
objective-prism plates obtained with the 61/91-cm Burrell Schmidt
telescope at Kitt Peak Observatory.

Note (1): the accuracy of the position is 3arc in RA, and 6arcsec in
declination. The position of CLS 72 differs from the publication,
see the "History" section below.
Note (2): the color indication is:
y = yellow (b-r < 1.5)
r = red (1.5 < b-r < 2.5)
vr = very red (b-r > 2.5)

History:
* April 1994: Keypunched at CDS
* 06-Nov-2001: A list of errors was reported by Patrick Wills
(); one concerns an error in the original
publication for CLS 72, which declination is +31 48.6 instead of
the quoted +31 40.6. This correction was applied in the electronic
table.
