Abstract:
We present UFTI K-band imaging observations of 222 galaxies that are
selected from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey to have unusually strong
Hδ absorption equivalent widths, W(Hδ)>4Å. Using GIM2D,
the images are fitted with two-dimensional surface-brightness models
consisting of a simple disc and bulge component to derive the fraction
of luminosity in the bulge B/T.
Description:
We selected our sample from the catalogue of Goto et al.
(2003PASJ...55..771G 2003PASJ...55..771G), based on the first data release of the
Sloan Digital Sky Survey (Abazajian et al., 2003AJ....126.2081A 2003AJ....126.2081A,
see http://www.sdss.org). Observations were made with the UFTI
near-infrared imaging spectrograph on the United Kingdom Infrared
Telescope (UKIRT) over two semesters.

Note (1): Uncertainties on Ksmag are limited by the zero-point and are ∼0.08mag
Note (2): Note that these are meaningless in irregular systems
(such as close pairs or mergers)
Note (3): Where positive numbers represent absorption.
Note (4): From the SDSS pipeline, with positive numbers indicating emission
Blank entries ('-') correspond to undetected emission lines.
