Using GIM2D, the images are fitted with two-dimensional surface-brightness models consisting of a simple disc and bulge component to derive the fraction of luminosity in the bulge B/T. Description: We selected our sample from the catalogue of Goto et al. (2003PASJ...55..771G 2003PASJ...55..771G), based on the first data release of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (Abazajian et al., 2003AJ....126.2081A 2003AJ....126.2081A, see http://www.sdss.org). Observations were made with the UFTI near-infrared imaging spectrograph on the United Kingdom Infrared Telescope (UKIRT) over two semesters.
