The sample consists of 15688 stars reaching down to V∼20.5. The cluster appears to have a relatively small but conspicuous nucleus and a low-density extended coronal region. Description: The NGC 5288 field was observed on 1998 June 19-20 with the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory (CTIO) 0.9-m telescope and with the Tektronix 2K #3 CCD, using quad-amp readout.
