For this goal the spectra of ten reddened, early-type stars have been selected. The spectra are of high resolution, ∼100000, and reasonable signal-to-noise ratio, S/N>300; they cover a wide spectral range 3500-10000Å and show a lack of evident Doppler splitting in the interstellar KI line. The measurement technique has allowed a homogeneous set of data to be achieved. As a result, the identity of 336 DIBs from previous surveys has been confirmed and 21 new bands have been found. Description: This paper is based on the extensive sets of data from three observatories: European Southern Observatory (ESO)-La Silla, ESO-Paranal and Terskol (Russia). It involves spectra obtained during many observing runs between 1996 and 2009 using three Coude echelle spectrometers: the High Accuracy Radial velocity Planetary Search (HARPS, programme IDs 60.A-9036(A) and 078.C-0403(A)), the Ultraviolet and Visual Echelle Spectrograph (UVES, programme ID 082.C-0566(A)) plus data taken from the ESO Science Archive Facility (programme IDs 67.C-0281(A), 67.D-0439(A), 266.D-5655(A)) and Matrix Echelle Spectrograph (MAESTRO).
