ADC_Keywords: Surveys ; Clusters, galaxy ; X-ray sources Keywords: catalogues - surveys - X-rays: general Abstract: We present the final release of the multiwavelength XMM-Large Scale Structure (LSS) data set, covering the full survey area of 11.1deg2, with X-ray data processed with the latest XMM-LSS pipeline version. The present publication supersedes the catalogue from the first paper in this series, pertaining to the initial 5deg2. We provide X-ray source lists in the customary energy bands (0.5-2 and 2-10keV) for a total of 6721 objects in the deep full-exposure catalogue and 5572 in the catalogue limited to 10ks, above a detection likelihood of 15 in at least one band. We also provide a multiwavelength catalogue, cross-correlating our list with infrared, near-infrared, optical and ultraviolet catalogues. Customary data products, such as X-ray fits images and thumbnail images from the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope Legacy Survey and the Spitzer Wide-Area Infrared Extragalactic Survey, are made available, together with our data base in Milan, which can be queried interactively. Description: We provide the source list for the full area (11.1 square degrees) of the XMM-LSS (2xlss.dat), with a total of 5572 point-like or extended sources above a detection likelihood of 15 in either 0.5-2 or 2-10keV bands. The tables at CDS contains the main X-ray parameters, while further multiwavelength parameters and data products (X-ray images and optical/IR thumbnails) are available in the Milan XMM-LSS database site. This 2XLSS version contains the result of the analysis in 10ks limited exposures. Columns whose label begins with X refer to band-merged X-ray properties and are always present for all records. Note (G2): In a very few cases the IAU standard catalogue name has an a/b suffix after the coordinate designation. This occurs when the band merging is ambiguous and one 0.5-2keV band source may have two different hard band counterparts, or viceversa. Note (G3): This note applies to all 0.5-2keV band columns from Bseq to Bfluxflag. Columns whose label begins with B refers to X-ray properties in the 0.5-2keV band. If a source was not detected in the band, all these columns are blank. Note (G4): The C1/C2 classification flag is set for candidate clusters according to ref. (1) and assumes the following values 1 = object classified as C1 cluster candidate in the 0.5-2keV band 2 = object classified as C2 cluster candidate in the 0.5-2keV band 0 = undefined in any other case Note (G5): The soft or hard band core radii can assume value -1 when the extended source fit fails in the relevant band. Note (G6): This note applies to all 0.5-2keV band columns from BRAdeg to Bfluxflag, and similarly to all 2-10keV band columns from CDRAdeg to CDfluxflag. The coordinates and count rates, and associated position error and flux in a band are relevant to the pointlike or extended fit according to the classification of the source Note (G7): The position error is computed from the count rate and off axis angle according to prescriptions given in the paper. For extended sources it is set to 0.0 Note (G8): The flux is set to -1.0 when undefined for any reason (in particular it is set to undefined for all C1 clusters) Note (G9): The flux flag indicates how the fluxes computed from MOS or pn rates alone differ from the mean flux, with the following coding: 0 = difference < 20% 1 = difference between 20 and 50% 2 = difference > 50% Note (G10): This note applies to all 2-10keV band columns from CDseq to CDfluxflag. Columns whose label begins with CD refers to X-ray properties in the 2-10keV band. If a source was not detected in the band, all these columns are blank. Note (G11): (Xlsspointr) A non-zero value contains the Xseq of the corresponding source in the Version I XLSS catalogue (Pierre et al. 2007, Cat. J/MNRAS/382/279) Note (G12): The absolute value of Xdeep, if non-zero, contains the Xseq of the corresponding source in the deep catalogue 2XLSSd -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- History: * 20-Nov-2012: First version (had incomplete 2XLSSB and 2XLSSCD names) * 21-Feb-2013: 2XLSSB and 2XLSSCD fixed (last digit was missing) References: Pacaud, F., et al., 2006MNRAS.372..578P 2006MNRAS.372..578P The XMM Large-Scale Structure survey: the X-ray pipeline and survey selection function Pierre, M., et al., 2007MNRAS.382..279P 2007MNRAS.382..279P The XMM-LSS catalogue: X-ray sources and associated optical data.
