ADC_Keywords: Galaxies, nearby ; Photometry, SDSS ; Morphology Keywords: Galaxies: classification - fundamental parameters - statistics Abstract: We investigate box/peanut and bar structures in image data of edge-on and face-on nearby galaxies taken from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) to present catalogues containing the surface brightness parameters and the morphology classification. About 1700 edge-on galaxies and 2600 face-on galaxies are selected from SDSS DR7 in the g, r and i-bands. The images of each galaxy are fitted with the model of two-dimensional surface brightness of the Sersic bulge and exponential disk. After removing some irregular data, the box/peanut, bar and other structures are easily distinguished by eye using residual (observed minus model) images. We find 292 box/peanut structures in the 1329 edge-on samples and 630 bar structures in 1890 face-on samples in the i-band, after removing some irregular data. The fraction of box/peanut galaxies is about 22 per cent against the edge-on samples, and that of bar galaxies is about 33 per cent (about 50 per cent if 629 elliptical galaxies are removed) against the face-on samples. Furthermore the strengths of the box/peanuts and bars are evaluated as strong, standard or weak. We find that the strength increases slightly with increasing B/T (bulge-to-total flux ratio), and that the fraction of box/peanuts is generally about a half of that of bars, irrespective of the strength and B/T. Our result supports the idea that a box/peanut is a bar seen edge-on. Description: These catalogues are intended to study statistically Box/Peanut or Bar structures in edge-on or face-on nearby galaxies, containing values of surface brightness parameters of model galaxy, coordinate, redshift, morphology and matched PGC number for edge-on or face-on nearby galaxies in g, r and i-band selected from SDSS DR7. table1[gri].dat are the catalogues for edge-on galaxies in g, r and i-band, respectively. table2[gri].dat are those for face-on galaxies. table3[gri].dat contain only Box/Peanut galaxies extracted from table1[gri].dat. table4[gri].dat contain only Barred galaxies extracted from table2[gri].dat. Description of files: "EON_ID" is an original identifier for the edge-on galaxies like as "SDSS-g-eon-XXXX", where XXXX is the serial number. "FON_ID" is an original identifier for the face-on galaxies like as "SDSS-g-fon-XXXX", where XXXX is the serial number. "BOX_ID" is an original identifier for the Box/Peanut galaxies like as "SDSS-g-box-XXXX", where XXXX is the serial number. "BAR_ID" is an original identifier for the barred galaxies like as "SDSS-g-bar-XXXX", where XXXX is the serial number. "SDSS_ID" is another identifier according to recommended format by SDSS project like as "SDSS JHHMMSS.SS+DDMMSS.S". "objid", "RA", "Dec" and "redshift" are object ID, Right Ascension, Declination and redshift, respectively, quoted directly from SDSS DR7. The catalogues are sorted by the "objid". "mueB", "b/a_B", "reB" and "Sersic" are values of effective intensity (flux), axial ratio, effective radius and index of Sersic, respectively, for Sersic law bulge model. "mu0D", "b/a_D" a,d "rsD" are values of central intensity, axial ratio and scale length, respectively, for exponential law disk model. "B" and "D" are the integrated flux for bulge and disk, respectively, and "B/T" is the ratio. These flux are shown in magnitude unit using SDSS asinh magnitude system. "chi2" is a value of reduced chi-square for the model fitting. "morph" is a mark of morphology in this catalogue estimated by eye. It is classified as follows. bx+:Strong Box/Peanut. bx:Standard Box/Peanut. bx-:Weak Box/Peanut. br+:Strong bar. br:Standard bar. br-:Weak bar. nm:Normal disk galaxy. el:Elliptical galaxy. ir:Irregular galaxy. ov:Oval. rg:Ring. mg:Merger. "H_type" is Hubble type classification transformed from the B/T. It is defined as follows. Sd:B/T≤0.05. Sc:0.05<B/T≤0.1. Sbc:0.1<B/T≤0.2. Sb:0.2<B/T≤0.3. Sab:0.3<B/T≤0.4. Sa/E(Sa or earlier):0.4<B/T. "PGC" is a matched PGC number (Paturel et al., 2003A&A...412...45P 2003A&A...412...45P, Cat. VII/237), if exist within 5 arcsec. "SDSSPGCd" is the distance between SDSS object and PGC object.
