Abstract:
We present mean chromospheric CaII H and K activity levels and
rotation periods, derived from the Mount Wilson Observatory HK Project
time series. These are combined with theoretically calculated
convective turnover times to derive Rossby numbers and connect the
rotational scaling of chromospheric activity of main sequence and
post-main sequence stars with each other.
Description:
Derived values for the chromospheric activity, rotational and
convective characteristics, and the evolutionary stage, as well as
literature data used for deriving these, are presented for 224 stars
observed over four or more observing seasons in the Mount Wilson
Observatory HK Project. Data for five additional stars with
photometrically derived rotation periods (Lehtinen et al.,
2016A&A...588A..38L 2016A&A...588A..38L) are presented in separate tables to supplement
the short rotation period end of the sample. Moreover, for the stars
with newly derived rotation periods, we present a comparison with
period estimates found from the literature.
