This previously unstudied object appears to be rich and highly absorbed. A cluster angular radius of 4.5±0.5, equivalent to (3.0±0.3)pc, is estimated from star counts in 100-pixel a side boxes distributed throughout the whole observed field. Our analysis suggests that Lynga 11 is moderately young and probably of solar metallicity. Description: CCD images of the cluster field were obtained with the Johnson B and V and Kron-Cousins I filters during the same night in which they were obtained for NGC 6318, whose analysis was published by Piatti et al. (2005, Cat. J/PASP/117/22, hereafter Paper I).
