Description:
Photoelectric UBV values, derived from observations made at the Boyden
and ESO observatories, are presented for 358 early-type stars in the
Vela section of the southern Milky Way.
Remarks, accurate positions and notes have been added in July 2016 at
CDS (Francois Ochsenbein)

History:
* The catalog was prepared at CDS before 1975
* 30-May-1996: standardized documentation added by Julie Anne Watko
[SSDOO/ADC]
* 27-Jul-2016 (version 'A', Francois Ochsenbein, CDS):
the original remarks were added (file "remarks.dat"); stars have been
identified with the help of Simbad, Aladin, the published finding charts,
and UCAC4 (Zacharias et al. 2013, Cat. I/322). The result is included in
the files "position.dat" (coordinates are blank for the 3 stars which
could not be identified), and "notes.dat" (remarks added in the course of
the identification)
