Abstract:
We report on near-infrared medium-resolution spectroscopy of
a sample of luminous and ultra luminous infrared galaxies
(LIRGs-ULIRGs), carried out with SOFI at the ESO 3.5m New
Technology Telescope.
Description:
Medium-resolution Ks-band NIR spectroscopy of the galaxies was
performed with the SOFI infrared spectrometer at the Nashmyth A focus
of the ESO 3.5m New Technology Telescope, during August 2001 and
August 2003. During the 2003 run, 5-min of Ks-band imagning were
obtained as well.
