However, there is a deficiency of radial velocity and chemical abundance determinations for open clusters in the literature. Aims. We intend to increase the number of determinations of radial velocities and metallicities from spectroscopy for open clusters. We acquired medium-resolution spectra (R∼8000) in the infrared region CaII triplet lines (∼8500Å) for several stars in five open clusters with the long-slit IDS spectrograph on the 2.5m Isaac Newton Telescope (Roque de los Muchachos Observatory, Spain). Radial velocities were obtained by cross-correlation fitting techniques. The relationships available in the literature between the strength of infrared Ca ii lines and metallicity were also used to derive the metallicity for each cluster. Description: Medium-resolution spectra in the region of the near-infrared CaII triplet (CaT) at ∼8500Å were obtained using the Intermediate Dispersion Spectrograph (IDS) mounted at the Cassegrain focus of the 2.5m Isaac Newton Telescope (INT) located at Roque de los Muchachos Observatory, Spain. Berkeley 23 was observed in service mode on 2013 January 17 and 18, and the other clusters were observed on 2014 July 18 and 19.
