Abstract:
High-resolution spectral observations during 1994-2017 are analysed
in order to reveal long- and short-term changes in the spot activity
of the FK Comae-type subgiant HD 199178. Most of the observations were
collected with the Nordic Optical Telescope high resolution
spectrographs SOFIN (34 sets) and FIES (6 sets). One set was obtained
at the NAO (Rozhen), Bulgaria. The spectra were used to calculate
Doppler imaging temperature maps for HD 199178 covering the years
1994-2017.
Description:
The instruments used where the Rozhen high resolution spectrograph
(R=35000), SOFIN (R=80000, R=1400000) and FIES (R=67000). Observation
times and S/N-ratios are given in the log-file. The spectral regions
used for Doppler images varied with the instruments and seasons. The
regions were centred around the following wavelengths (in Angstroms):
6265, 6411, 6431, 6439 6644, 6663 and 7511.
