ADC_Keywords: Active gal. nuclei ; Redshifts ; Optical ; Infrared ; Radio sources Keywords: catalogs - galaxies: active Abstract: The European Archive of the James Webb Space Telescope (eJWST) provides access to all data collected by The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). JWST's capabilities span from studying early universe galaxy formation to probing exoplanet atmospheres. Specifically, for Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN), JWST offers unparalleled opportunities, enabling investigation into AGN phenomena with unprecedented detail through high-resolution imaging, spectroscopy, and photometric data. This study aims to compile and release a catalogue of all AGN observations conducted with JWST. Using eJWST, we systematically filter and organize these observations to facilitate access and retrieval of all of JWST's data products related to AGNs. Our goal is to provide the community with a valuable resource for their research. We compiled the AGN observations in eJWST using specific keywords set by the principal investigators in their proposals, manually reviewing the approved programs of JWST, as well as cross-matching all available observations with available AGN catalogues such as the Million Quasar catalogue, the SDSS MaNGA AGN catalogue, the CDFS catalogue, and others. The resulting catalogue contains a total of 3242 individual AGNs included in JWST observations. This is one of the first extensive collections of AGN observations from the JWST. It includes detailed information about the targets (name, coordinates, redshift), specifics of the JWST observations (instrument, aperture, filter, etc.), and provides links for data downloads. Description: This catalogue was constructed by systematically filtering AGN observations in the eJWST archive using proposal keywords and by cross-matching the sources with major AGN catalogues. The observations included span up to 2025-03-20. The catalogue is updated annually, with the most recent release available at: https://github.com/VirginiaLenk1/AGNs-in-eJWST.git File Summary: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FileName Lrecl Records Explanations -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ReadMe 80 . Declination (J2000) from Swiftbat -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note (1): Object names come from the literature (see Reference column). Priority was given to Milliquas due to completeness. CDFS object names were derived from their position in HHMMSS.SS+DDMMSS.S format. Names from eJWST should be used with caution, as they are usually introduced by the proposer and may not follow a standard convention. Note (2): RA and Dec are in ICRS coordinates (J2000). Positions for targeted AGNs come from the eJWST archive. Non-targeted AGNs use catalogues listed in the Reference columns. Values are rounded to 7 decimals for display; full precision is in the respective catalogue columns. Gaia coordinates were shifted to J2000. Note (3): Source classification (e.g., Seyfert, QSO, BL Lac, LINER) is from proposer descriptions for targeted AGNs and from catalogues for non-targeted AGNs. Codes were harmonized: "NL" = narrow-line, "BL" = broad-line, "?" = uncertain, "??" = highly questionable. Proposer descriptions are kept as provided by eJWST. Note (4): Redshifts are from literature, either from NED or the respective catalogues, with NED values prioritized. Missing values are marked as NaN. Note (5): Technique for redshift determination is taken from NED (standard convention) or, if unavailable, from catalogues. NED values are prioritized. Terms were harmonized: spectroscopic = "S", photometric = "P"; unknown cases = "U". Note (6): Redshift reference is a bibcode for each object. Values are from NED if available, otherwise from the respective catalogues. Note (7): Instrument configuration (filter, aperture, exposure time) and observation-specific information (observation ID, proposal ID, etc.) are from JWST exposure metadata in the eJWST archive. Note (8): Intended purpose of observation is labeled as follows: - Science = scientific observation targeting a specific object or area. - Calibration = used to calibrate instruments or observing modes. - Background = background observation from MAST or eJWST keywords. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Acknowledgements: Virginia Lenk, virginialenk(at)gmx.de References: Comerford et al., 2024ApJ...963...53C 2024ApJ...963...53C An Excess of AGNs Triggered by Galaxy Mergers in MaNGA Galaxies Lutz et al., 2018A&A...609A...9L 2018A&A...609A...9L Swift-BAT active galactic nuclei prefer circumnuclear star formation
