Abstract:
Using images of the Digitized Sky Survey we measured coodinates for
17298 galaxies having poorly defined coordinates. As a control, we
measured with the same method 1522 galaxies having accurate
coordinates. The comparison with our own measurements shows that the
accuracy of the method is about 6 arcsec on each axis (RA and DEC).
Description:
Table 1: Control sample. For each galaxy the new J2000.0 equatorial
coordinates are given first. The second coordinates are those
extracted from the LEDA database (http://www-obs.univ-lyon1.fr). This
sample of 1522 galaxies was used to check the method of measurement.
Table 2: This table presents the full sample of new measurements of
accurate coordinates. It contains 17615 measurements for 17298
galaxies.
