74- 76 A3 --- Rem Remarks (2)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note (1):
The first value of [Fe/H] quoted is calculated from the [K16,(B-V)]
calibration by Ryan & Norris (1991a), while the second set of
abundances are estimated from Fig.5 and our G-band measurements.
Note (2):
Except for G3647 we have assumed abundances of -1 for stars with
(B-V) >0.7 and calculated velocities and absolute magnitudes
accordingly -these stars are not included in any of the velocity
statistic calculations.
Stars marked * have discordant trigonometric and photometric
parallaxes, and the "anomalous" high-velocity, metal-rich
([Fe/H]≥ -1) stars are identified by (1).
Individual stars marked (G) discussed in the text G11504 and
G14367 have abnormally strong G-band strength compared to the
HK absorption, while
stars marked (w) H719 and G8724 have weak G-bands.
