J/AJ/120/1426 Chandra sources in ONC & BN-KL (Garmire+, 2000)

Chandra X-ray observatory study of the Orion nebula cluster and BN/KL region. Garmire G., Feigelson E.D., Broos P., Hillenbrand L.A., Pravdo S.H., Townsley L., Tsuboi Y. <Astron. J. 120, 1426 (2000)> =2000AJ....120.1426G 2000AJ....120.1426G
ADC_Keywords: X-ray sources ; Cross identifications Misson_Name: Chandra Keywords: infrared radiation - ISM: individual (Orion Nebula) - stars: activity - stars: pre-main-sequence - X-rays Description: About 1000 X-ray emitting young premain-sequence (PMS) stars distributed in mass from ∼0.05M brown dwarfs to a ∼50M O star are detected in an image of the Orion Nebula obtained with the Advanced CCD Imaging Spectrometer (ACIS) on board the Chandra X-Ray Observatory. The sources in the Becklin-Neugebauer/Kleinman-Low region of massive star formation are discussed in detail. Note: A more extensive and accurate list is in preparation, based on more Chandra data which will have more sources and many more columns of information.
