Both samples are selected from the Canadian Network for Observational Cosmology field galaxy redshift survey (CNOC2, Cat. J/ApJS/129/475) and have redshifts in the range 0.1<z<0.6. Hubble Space Telescope WFPC2 images were acquired as part of a snapshot survey and were used to measure bulge fraction and asymmetry for these galaxies. Description: WFPC2 snapshot observations for this program (proposal ID 8230; PI D. Patton) were carried out between 1999 July and 2001 June. Note (4): Defined as RT-RA where the total and symmetric indices RT and RA are defined in equation 11 of Simard (1998ASPC..145..108S 1998ASPC..145..108S), and are the GIM2D versions of the parameters originally introduced by Schade et al. (1995ApJ...451L...1S 1995ApJ...451L...1S). RT and RA are approximately equal to the total and asymmetric residual flux respectively, and are expressed as a fraction of the total galaxy flux. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- History: From electronic version of the journal
