Abstract:
In this paper we present measurements of velocity dispersions and
Lick indices for 509 galaxies in the local universe, based on high
signal-to-noise, long-slit spectra obtained with the 1.52m ESO
telescope at La Silla.
Description:
The line strengths presented in this paper are based on long-slit
spectra collected using the Boller & Chivens spectrograph mounted on
the 1.52m telescope at the La Silla site of the European Southern
Observatory, during several runs between 1993 November and 2002
November.
