A-type supergiants are potential extragalactic distance indicators, but the variability of these stars needs to be better characterized before this technique can be considered reliable. We analyzed 339 high-resolution echelle spectra of Deneb obtained over the five-year span of 1997 through 2001 as well as 370 Stroemgren photometric measurements obtained during the same time frame. Our spectroscopic analysis included dynamical spectra of the Hα profile, Hα equivalent widths, and radial velocities measured from SiII λλ 6347, 6371. Description: Three hundred and thirty-nine high-resolution (R=26000) red-yellow spectra of Deneb were obtained between 1997 March 20 and 2001 December 21 with the Ritter Observatory 1m telescope and fiber-fed echelle spectrograph. Three hundred and seventy differential Stroemgren photometric measurements were made with the Four College Automated Photoelectric Telescope (FCAPT) during the concurrent time period of 1997 October 29 to 2001 July 2.
