ADC_Keywords: Clusters, globular ; Equivalent widths ; Abundances Keywords: globular clusters: individual (NGC 5904) - stars: abundances - stars: AGB and post-AGB Abstract: We present analysis of high-resolution spectra of a sample of stars in the globular cluster M5 (NGC 5904). The sample includes stars from the red giant branch (RGB; seven stars), the red horizontal branch (two stars), and the asymptotic giant branch (AGB; eight stars), with effective temperatures ranging from 4000K to 6100K. Spectra were obtained with the HIRES spectrometer on the Keck I telescope, with a wavelength coverage from 3700Å to 7950Å for the HB and AGB sample, and 5300Å to 7600Å for the majority of the RGB sample. Description: Our spectra were obtained using the HIRES spectrograph on the Keck 1 telescope. On 2007 June 5-7, we observed the AGB, HB, and part of our RGB sample with the recently upgraded detector focal plane, a setup that provided near continuous wavelength coverage between 3700 and 7950Å. The remainder of the RGB sample is from an earlier run on 2000 June 6 with the original HIRES CCD, and therefore covers a more limited wavelength range of 5300-7600Å.
