ADC_Keywords: Stars, carbon ; Stars, giant ; Photometry, infrared ; Cross identifications Keywords: catalogs - infrared: stars - stars: AGB and post-AGB - stars: carbon Abstract: We collected almost all of the Galactic infrared carbon stars (IRCSs) from literature published up to the present to organize a catalog of 974 Galactic IRCSs in this paper. Some of their photometric properties in the near-, mid-, and far-infrared are discussed. File Summary: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FileName Lrecl Records Explanations -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ReadMe 80 . This file table3.dat 180 974 The catalog of Galactic infrared carbon stars table4.dat 51 593 *MSX observational data for infrared carbon stars -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Notes on table4.dat: MSX6C (Egan et al. 2003, Cat. V/114) counterparts; ∼60% of the infrared carbon stars (IRCSs) catalog. Note that 593 sources have MSX data at least in one of the MSX bands, but only 532 sources have good quality data in all of the ACD bands. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- See also: II/125 : IRAS catalogue of Point Sources, Version 2.0 (IPAC 1986) III/197 : IRAS Low Resolution Spectra (IRAS team, 1987) II/177 : Near IR Photometry of a Sample of IRAS Point Sources (Fouque+, 1992) III/227 : General Catalog of galactic Carbon stars, 3d Ed.
