Abstract:
We present the results of a photometric variability survey in the
young open cluster Stock 14 and the surrounding fields. In total, we
detected 103 variable stars of which 88 are new discoveries. We
confirm short-period, low-amplitude light variations in two eclipsing
members of the cluster, HD 101838 and HD 101794. In addition, we find
two new β Cep stars of which one, HD 101993, is also a member.
The sample of pulsating cluster members is supplemented by one
multimode slowly pulsating B-type star and several single-mode
candidates of this type. The other pulsating stars in our sample are
mostly field stars. In particular, we found 14 δ Sct stars
including one γ Dor/δ Sct hybrid pulsator.
Description:
The observations of Stock 14 were acquired between March 3 and May 13,
2007, using the Australian National University 1.0-m telescope at the
Siding Spring Observatory, Australia.
This data set contains the electronic version of Table 2 from the
paper, photometric data used to create Figs. 4 and 7, and the
parameters of least squares fits of periodic variables. Also included
are the UBV light curves of detected variable stars.

Note (1): instrumental color offset by an average of (u-b) colors of the
stars with 0≤B-V≤0.2mag; see Section 3.1 of the paper for details.
Note (2): Flags as follows:
k = the star was known as variable prior to this study
m = the star is likely member of Stock 14
A = the period was calculated using ASAS-3 photometry
Note (3): Most variability designations follow the GCVS variability types, with
the exception of SPB (Slowly Pulsating B-type) and GDOR (γ Doradus)
stars. MULTI and MONO indicate that the star is multi- or monoperiodic, but
the exact variability type remains unknown. A colon indicates a candidate for
the given variability type, and a question mark indicates an uncertain
classification.
Note (4): Some of the light curves are divided into two data files, because
they have been observed using different CCD chips of the camera and have
different zero point offsets.
