Abstract:
In this work we present VLA observations of the NH3, CCS, and H2O
maser emission at 1cm from the star-forming region B1-IRS
(IRAS 03301+3057) with ∼5" (=1750AU) of angular resolution. The
CCS emission is distributed in three clumps around the central source.
These clumps exhibit a velocity gradient from red- to blueshifted
velocities toward B1-IRS, probably due to an interaction with the
outflow from an embedded protostar.
Description:
Simultaneous observations of the JN=21-10 transition of CCS
(with a rest frequency of 22344.033MHz) and the 616-523 transition
of H2O (with a rest frequency of 22235.080MHz) were carried out on
2003 April 4 using the VLA in its D configuration. The phase center of
these observations was 03:33:16.3+31:07:51 (J2000.0). In order to
compare our water maser results with those at other epochs, we also
retrieved earlier H2O data from the VLA archive. These observations
were carried out on 1998 October 24 and 1999 February 26, in the CnB
and CD configurations, respectively, for project AF354. These data
have been published by Furuya et al. (2003ApJS..144...71F 2003ApJS..144...71F). The phase
center of these observations was 03:33:16.030+31:07:34.05 (J2000.0).
