A total of 542 candidate galaxies are found in a one-half square degree survey using two ∼120Å filters centered at 8150 and 9140Å with Subaru SuprimeCam. Follow-up spectroscopy for randomly selected objects in the candidate sample with Keck II DEIMOS shows that they consist of [OIII] λ5007-, [OII] λ3727-, and Hα-selected strong emission line galaxies at intermediate redshift (z<1) and Lyα-emitting galaxies at high redshift (z≫5). Description: The emission-line sample was chosen from a set of narrowband images obtained with the SuprimeCam camera on the Subaru 8.2m telescope. The data were obtained in a number of runs between 2001 and 2005 under photometric or near-photometric conditions. Spectroscopic observations were obtained for 161 USELs from the sample using the Deep Extragalactic Imaging Multi-Object Spectrograph (DEIMOS) on Keck II in a series of runs between 2003 and 2006.
