Our observations span a wide frequency and temporal range of 0.24-43GHz and ∼1d to 12yrs since the discovery. We model the radio light curves and spectra with the synchrotron emission. We estimate the mass-loss rate of the progenitor star to be dM/dt∼1x10-6M/yr for a wind speed of 10km/s. We calculate the radio spectral indices using 1.06, 1.40, 5.00, and 8.46GHz flux density measurements at multiple epochs. We witness steepening in the spectral index values for an extended period predominantly at higher frequencies. We explain this as a signature of electron cooling happening at the supernova shock in the plateau phase of the supernova. We estimate the cooling timescales for inverse Compton cooling and synchrotron cooling and find that inverse Compton cooling is the dominant cooling process. Description: The VLA started observing SN 2004dj from 2004 August 02.9 UT. The SN was observed in all VLA bands from 1.4GHz (L-band) to 44GHz bands. The GMRT started observing SN 2004dj from 2004 August 12 and detected radio emission from the SN at 1.4GHz (Chandra & Ray 2004IAUC.8397....3C 2004IAUC.8397....3C). Extensive follow-up observations were carried out with the GMRT at multiple epochs in the 1.4, 0.610, 0.325, and 0.235GHz bands until 2016. We also included the 5GHz MERLIN (Multi-Element Radio Linked Interferometer Network) observations from Beswick+ (2005ApJ...623L..21B 2005ApJ...623L..21B) for further analysis.
