Abstract:
The TESS space mission has generated an extensive collection of light
curves, providing a valuable opportunity to search for solar-like
oscillations. Numerous studies have utilized TESS observations to
search for solar-like oscillations and achieved excellent results.
However, the number of oscillators found by the previous works may be
incomplete and significantly below the predicted count. Therefore, we
employed a novel method to search for solar-like oscillations. In this
work, we utilized TESS 2-minute cadence data to identify solar-like
oscillators in the southern ecliptic hemisphere, detecting the
presence of oscillations by identifying an excess power hump in the
spectrum and combining visual inspection. As a result, we identified
10,548 stars exhibiting solar-like oscillations including 2972 that
had not been reported in previous studies. The νmax and
Δν of oscillators were determined using the fitting and
autocorrelation, and the reliability of the Δ{nu measurements
was further evaluated using the Fourier spectrum of the
autocorrelation function. Based on this assessment, 4775 oscillators
were classified as having reliable Δν, including 1920 that
have Δν measured for the first time.
Description:
This catalog presents 10548 stars exhibiting solar-like oscillations
identified from TESS 2-min cadence observations. The catalog is
divided into two tables according to the reliability of the large
frequency separation, Dnu.
The file oscill1.dat contains 4775 stars with reliable Dnu
measurements.
The file oscill2.dat contains 5773 stars for which the Dnu
measurements are not considered reliable.
For each star, the catalog provides the TESS Input Catalog (TIC)
identifier, basic stellar parameters, the frequency of maximum
oscillation power (numax), the large frequency separation (Dnu), their
uncertainties, and the number of TESS sectors used in the analysis.
The effective temperature (Teff) and stellar radius (rad) are adopted
from the TESS Input Catalog. The metallicity ([Fe/H]) and surface
gravity (logg) are adopted from Gaia. The numax and Dnu parameters
were determined in this work.
