In the case of Saurer A, which is considered one of the oldest known open clusters, we also provide a comparison field. Description: CCD VI observations were carried out with the new EMMI red arm camera on the New Technology Telescope (NTT) at the European Southern Observatory (ESO), La Silla, on the photometric night of 2002 December 9 and in subarcsecond seeing conditions.
