This opacity is included in the calculation of the total opacity of low-metallicity stars and its effect is analysed for different conditions of temperature, density and hydrogen number fraction. For a low helium number fraction (as in the Sun), it is found that HeH+ has a visible but small effect for very low densities (ρ≤10-10g/cm3), at temperatures around 3500K. However, for high helium number fraction, the effect of HeH+ becomes important for higher densities (ρ≤10-6g/cm3), its effect being most important for a temperature around 3500K. Synthetic spectra for a variety of different conditions are presented. Description: The line lists of all the transitions allowed by the dipole transition selection rules are given for 4HeH+, 3HeH+, 4HeD+ and 3HeD+. They includes the vibrational quantum number, the rotational quantum number and the energy of the lower and upper states, the transition frequency and the Einstein A coefficient associated. The line lists were calculated using the program LEVEL 7.5 (Le Roy, 2002, Univ. Waterloo Chemical Physics Research Report CP-655, http://scienide.uwaterloo.ca/~leroy/level/ ).
