Abstract:
Spitzer IR Array Camera (IRAC) mid-infrared photometry is presented
for the globular cluster (GC) systems of the NGC 5128 ('Centaurus A')
and NGC 4594 ('Sombrero') galaxies. Existing optical photometric and
spectroscopic are combined with this new data in a comprehensive
optical-to-mid-IR colour catalogue of 260 GCs. Empirical
colour-metallicity relationships are derived for all optical-to-mid-IR
colour combinations.
Description:
Catalogues are described in Spitler et al. (2008MNRAS.389.1150S 2008MNRAS.389.1150S) All
photometry is corrected for Galactic dust extinction and are on the
Vega photometric system.
NGC 5128 optical photometry is from Peng et al. (2004ApJS..150..367P 2004ApJS..150..367P),
as compiled in Woodley et al. (2007AJ....134..494W 2007AJ....134..494W). Globular cluster
identification numbers are from Woodley et al. (2007, Cat.
J/AJ/134/494).
NGC 4594 optical photometry is from Spitler et al.
(2006AJ....132.1593S 2006AJ....132.1593S) updated with new aperture corrections as
described in Harris et al. (2010MNRAS.401.1965H 2010MNRAS.401.1965H). Identification
number, globular cluster half-light radii and the assumed distance
modulus for the half-light radii are from Spitler et al. (2006, Cat.
J/AJ/132/1593). A ultra-compact dwarf galaxy is included in this
catalogue with ID="ucd" (see also Hau et al. 2009MNRAS.394L..97H 2009MNRAS.394L..97H).
