With no reliable data on the first harmonic, its pulsation mode identification remained controversial. We obtained a radial velocity curve of V440 Per with our new high-precision and high-throughput Poznan Spectroscopic Telescope. Description: The PST is located in Poland at the Borowiec station, 20km south from Poznan city, at a meagre elevation of 123m above sea level. The PST consists of parallel twin 0.4-m Newton telescopes of the f ratio 4.5, fixed on a single parallactic fork mount. In total 158 radial velocity measurements of V440 Per were obtained with the PST from 2007 August 15 to 2008 July 03.
