ADC_Keywords: Galaxy catalogs ; Ultraviolet ; Redshifts ; Magnitudes, photographic ; Photometry, infrared Keywords: Kazarian galaxies: UV-excess: catalog Abstract: The entire KG (KG) catalog is presented which combines extensive new measurements of their optical parameters with a literature and database search. The measurements were made using images extracted from the STScI Digitized Sky Survey (DSS) of Jpg(blue), Fpg(red) and Ipg(NIR) band photographic sky survey plates obtained by the Palomar and UK Schmidt telescopes. We provide accurate coordinates, morphological type, spectral and activity classes, blue apparent diameters, axial ratios, position angles, red, blue and NIR apparent magnitudes, as well as counts of neighboring objects in a circle of radius 50kpc from centers of KG. Special attention was paid to the individual descriptions of the galaxies in the original Kazarian lists, which clarified many cases of misidentifications of the objects, particularly among interacting systems. The total number of individual Kazarian objects in the database is now 706. We also include the redshifts which are now available for 404 galaxies, and the 2MASS infrared magnitudes for 598 KG. The database also includes extensive notes, which summarize information about the membership of KG in different systems of galaxies, and about revised activity classes and redshifts. An atlas of several interesting subclasses of KG is also presented. Description: Images extracted from the STScI Digitized Sky Survey (DSS) of Fpg(red) Jpg(blue), and Ipg(NIR) band photographic sky survey plates obtained by the Palomar and UK Schmidt telescopes. For objects newly added to the database, we add an 'a' or 'b' letter designation (e.g. Kaz72a and Kaz72b). In all cases, the eastern galaxy or component is labelled 'a', and the western galaxy or component with 'b'. Note (2): The numerical coding used here for the morphological description of the galaxies is a slightly modified and simplified version of the morphological types T given in the RC3 catalog. The codes used are: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -5 = E 1 = Sa 6 = Scd 10 = Im 14 = Compact -3 = E/S0 2 = Sab 7 = Sd 11 = Im/BCD 15 = Interacting/Merger -2 = S0 3 = Sb 8 = Sdm 12 = BCD/Im 16 = HII region -1 = S0/a 4 = Sbc 9 = Sm 13 = BCD 0 = S 5 = Sc ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The additional morphological remarks include a 'B' for the presence of a bar. Note (3): Description of the morphology of spectra, according to the Kazarian et al., 2008 catalog. For newly added Kazarian objects spectral classes are from descriptions of these objects in the original lists. The description uses: * letters: s = stellar, d = diffuse and intermediate 'sd' and 'ds' * numbers: 1, 2 and 3 for the degree of UV meission. Note (4): Activity class as follows: Sy = Seyfert galaxy Sy1 = Seyfert type 1 galaxy Sy1.5 = Seyfert type 1.5 galaxy Sy2 = Seyfert type 2 galaxy Sy3 = LINERs SB = starburst HII = HII nuclei WR = galaxies with Wolf-Rayet futures in their spectra AGN = nuclei activity NLAGN = nuclei activity QSO = QSOs BL = BL Lacertae objects LIRG = luminous infrared galaxy, for Kaz 348 galaxy e = emission-line galaxy a = absorption-line galaxy Note (5): Measured from North (PA=0 degrees) toward East between 0 and 180°. Note (6): 'n' indicates a Markarian galaxy with redshift smaller than 0.005 and no neighbor counts were performed Note (7): For 598 galaxies 2MASX (e.g. Jarrett et al., 2000AJ....119.2498J 2000AJ....119.2498J) total J, H and K magnitudes are listed.
