Theoretical investigation of oscillator strengths and lifetimes in Ti II. (2020)

Keywords : atomic data

Abstract:Accurate atomic data for TiII are essential for abundance analyses in astronomical objects. The aim of this work is to provide accurate and extensive results of oscillator strengths and lifetimes for TiII. The multiconfiguration Dirac-Hartree-Fock (MCDHF) and relativistic configuration interaction (RCI) methods, which are implemented in the general-purpose relativistic atomic structure package GRASP2018, were used in the present work. In the final RCI calculations, the transverse-photon (Breit) interaction, the vacuum polarization, and the self-energy corrections were included. ...(more)

Tables 3 presents electric dipole (E1), magnetic dipole (M1), and electric quadrupole (E2) transition data between the states of the calculated energy levels for the TiII ion. In the Table transition data, such as wavelengths, line strengths, weighted oscillator strengths, transition rates of E1, M1, E2 transitions are given. Wavelength and wavenumber values are adjusted to match the level energy values in the NIST ASD. For E1 and E2 transitions, the line strengths, weighted oscillator strengths and radiative transition probabilities are given in the length gauge.
