Description:
From trigonometric parallaxes and from spectroscopic and photometric
data published since 1969 and available before January 1979, 3 lists
have been compiled:
(1) Stars of the second edition of the catalogue of nearby stars (V/1)
(main.dat) with revised parameters published in table 3 of the
paper; it includes also additional faint components (table 4)
(2) Additional stars with parallaxes pi>=0.045arcsec (nearer than 22pc)
(suppl.dat), contains 294 new objects numbered between 1001 and 1294;
it was published as the Table 1 of the paper. The identifications of
these new systems are given in the file "supplid.dat"
(3) Suspected nearby stars: 159 objects with uncertain distance data,
published as the Table 2 of the papers, numbered 2001 to 2159
(suspect.dat)
